Mark Masinda called the Public Hearing to order at 7:33.
PUBLIC HEARING:
File #ZBA2008-1 Application for 15’ front line variance for two dormers on west side of house 6’X28’ & 6’X9’ at 6 Kollar Road (Map 24 Lot 21 Zone R80) Owner/Applicant: Lee Florian (Received February 14, 2008 Public Hearing April 10, 2008 decision within 65 days after close of Public Hearing.
M. Masinda asked the applicant to introduce himself and explain to the Board Members about the dormers.
Mr. Florian stated that when he was having a new roof put on, he also hired a contractor to put in two dormers. Mr. Florin stated that he thought the contractor had the necessary building permit.
N. Wilson asked how long ago the work had been done. Mr. Florin stated about 3 years ago, in 2005.
R. Maloney asked who the contractor was. Mr. Florin could not remember the contractor last name.
R. Maloney asked if Mr. Florian knew what his hardship was. Mr. Florian asked what was written on the application. The application states the house is a non-conforming structure.
R. Maloney asked the applicant if he knew how much of a variance he needed.
Mr. Florian stated he needed a 15’ front line variance.
The Board Member discussed the amount of variance needed. A 20’ front line variance would be granted.
R. Maloney asked if anyone wanted to speak either for or against the application. No one was present.
R. Maloney made a motion to close the Public Hearing at 7:48. B. Semprebon seconded. All voted in favor
Regular meeting was called to order.

N. Wilson made a motion to approve the minutes of March 13, 2008 A. Poole abstained. M. Masinda, R. Maloney, B Semprebon voted in favor
Old Business:

R. Maloney made a motion to approve a 20’ front line variance for the construction of two dormers on the west side of the house. The variance is only for the two dormers 6’X28’ & 6’X9’ on property located at 6 Kollar Rd. A. Poole seconded the motion. A brief discussion followed.
All voted in favor.
Correspondence:
A letter from Kim DeLorge and Tammy Totten regarding a zoning exception at 148 River Road was read to the Board Members. Discussion followed about allowing the Special Exception to continue, but under a different name.
R. Maloney made a Motion to approve the Special Exception with the name change. A. Poole seconded. All voted in favor
Discussion:
R. Maloney made a motion to table the Bylaws till the next meeting. B. Semprebon seconded the motion. All voted in favor
M. Masinda stated that he will send letters to Mr. Brown and Mr. Deskus thanking them for their service to the town.
R. Maloney made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 PM. A. Poole seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
